You have many amazing hand-drawn and typographic projects in your portfolio, can you give us a brief walk-through on your process for your projects?

oh Thank you for kind words. Mostly my works started from Hand-drawn, I don’t really do sketches as much as I should so mostly If it’s personal work I just go with the flow, the thing is pen and pencil is one of the most honest tools, It come straight from your mind to paper and I think that’s the fun and charming part about it. If it’s commercial works, I started from moodboard to set me and my client vision to be on the same side then sketch, work in progress and final which mostly finish in compute because there’s changes in between and it’s easier to control that way.

Can you name for us your favorite 3 client projects you have worked on and what made them special?

hmmm…this is a bit tough. My list were longer than that. 1. Central Embassy Wallpainting project, because it’s the biggest wall painting job I’ve ever done. It required 10 days of works on construction site with 7 assistants. We were working around the clock and finish at midnight everyday. 2. Another Planet, I worked with Another Planet for 4 times now, basically it’s a gig poster where I can come up with concept and they give me a lot of freedom. Because they gave me fully creative freedom, all of the artworks would always be my favorite. I felt like I create an art piece and doing something fun. 3. What If (www.whatifweshop.com) My own brand. What make them special? Well, to see my illustration on products and I get to wear my own clothes etc.

What would you say are some important lessons you have learned so far in your career?

Never give up from what you really want. If you strongly want to be or to do something, don’t let anything or anyone to stop you. You just need to find the way to make it happen.

What do you think is the most challenging aspect of your job?

Being a freelance mean you never know what will bring you tomorrow , will you earn enough for your rent next month? , will you still get busy as last year? you never know all that. That’s why you should also have Saving and Plan B.
